• Designed and built the new geospatial database (interactive map for internal use) and web based user interface of all the national and regional roads in Armenia that was at the time only available in spreadsheet format with no visual component
• Wrote web based linear referencing algorithm to split road geometries based on chainage distances using Google Maps API

COMUS is a joint Council of Europe/European Union initiative that is part of the second Eastern Partnership Culture Programme. It seeks to stimulate social and economic development by enhancing cultural heritage in 9 historic towns in Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine.

• Carried out Preliminary Technical Assessment (field work, GPS and geospatial data collection, analysis, and writing of final report) for transport systems and network in the greater Goris town area as part of a multidisciplinary project

OCT 2016 - NOV 2016

Asian Development Bank funded Regional Capacity Development Technical Assistance (R-CDTA) Project - Applying Space Based Technology (SBT) and ICT to Strengthen Disaster Resilience (Japan Fund for Poverty Reduction); covering Armenia, Bangladesh, Fiji, Philippines and aiming to improve local capacity to collect and share reliable and timely disaster-related data using SBT and ICT at a local government/community levels.

• Assisted in training local government, Ministry of Emergency Situation of Armenia, and community members on disaster risk management mapping principles
• Monitored on site DRM data collection using a mobile application that uploads directly to OpenStreetMap
• Developed orthophoto and digital surface model from drone images

• Designed and teaching a course on Geographic Information Systems with a focus on spatial databases and data management (shp, kml, GeoJSON, PostGIS, GeoServer)

Gyumri Project Hope (GPH) is a foundation established by IDeA Foundation, AGBU, Armenian Relief Society (ARS), and Kololian Foundation to develop focused renewal concepts for the development of Gyumri.

• Worked as GIS specialist in the historic preservation team of a multidisciplinary project
• Designed GIS database to collect and map data on the Kumayri historic district of Gyumri
• Used drone to create a high resolution orthophoto of project coverage area

NOV 2015 - DEC 2015

IDeA Foundation funded project for the development of Dilijan

• Served as local consultant for Mobility in Chain Italian company conducting a traffic engineering study for redevelopment projects in Dilijan in the context of the Naberejnaya Master Plan
• Organized and coordinated data collection activities for the traffic study including: traffic (vehicular and pedestrian) counts at major intersections and roundabouts, public transportation mapping, passenger counts, travel times, and load profiles, pedestrian facilities survey and mapping

• Provided measures and action plans to improve energy efficiency in the transportation sector in Armenia through the reform of transportation policies, strategies and planning practices with application of international best practices
• Participated in writing the chapter relating to the transportation sector of Armenia for the Second National Energy Efficiency Action Plan for Armenia

Winning project of the UNDP Kolba Social Innovation Challenge

• Collected public transport data (lines, stop locations, travel times between stops, fare information, etc.) pertaining to bus routes and metro line for Yerevan and prepared GTFS (General Transit Feed Specification) database
• Developed web-based application suitable to create GTFS datasets for small agencies like Yerevan Municipality and join Google Transit Program

• Was responsible for work-zone traffic management; conducted traffic impact analysis, developed traffic mitigation plans for strategic infrastructure projects ($100M+ budget)
• Wrote 3 web based analysis tools to increase efficiency in planning of workzone traffic management activities and visualization of detours
• Participated in risk management workshops for major projects

• Participated in the realization of numerous long term and short term transportation planning projects (feasibility studies, traffic impact studies, trip and parking demand forecasting, travel time studies, etc.) for public sector and private sector clients
• Handled most of the data treatment for projects, participated in traffic data collection activities, and helped with proposal writing for international projects
